As we’re approaching 50 years in business, you would no doubt expect us to have a few traditions. This is one we’re particularly proud of, our Christmas charity donations.
Systematic’s foundations are built on making a positive difference, for our clients, suppliers, team, and community. Our founder Nick Robey initiated one key focus to our charitable contributions, which sees a charity that’s special to each team member receiving £100 from the business. We’ve lost count of the level of our donations over the years but know that we’ve passed the £50k milestone!
There continue to be many poignant connections to the charities benefiting from Systematic’s donations in 2022. We’ve developed a deeper connection to charities that support mental health and wellbeing this year, and that is rightly reflected in our list. Alongside the national charities that you’ll recognise, you’ll see local charities, such as Lincolnshire Cares.
Lincolnshire Cares is just one legacy of our Managing Director Chris Robey, who we tragically lost in September. It was back in 2014 when Chris picked up on an Age UK statistic, that ‘1 million older people in the UK hadn’t spoken to anyone in a month.’ Chris knew that he needed to initiate local change. The commitment of our team and many crucial volunteers led to what is now a registered charity, Lincolnshire Cares. The charity seeks to reduce social isolation through a free befriending service and a programme of events for the elderly.
If we count you among our valued clients, thank you! Your support and custom are behind our positive trading results, which ultimately enable us to make these donations.
Here’s a summary of the charities that received a donation, or multiple donations, from us this Christmas. It is undoubtedly a winter that will hard for so many people (and animals), in so many ways. Click on the links to read more about their invaluable work.
