We’ve been working on a desk pad design project that’s blended our creativity and love of all things paper. This limited edition, useful and sustainable desk pad is also a planner and calendar!
It’s that time of year when we’re often sharing calendars, but we’ve adapted our tradition and love of calendars to respond to the new ways in which you’re working! Perhaps your kitchen table has become a temporary office or maybe your laptop and office essentials are constantly on the move between work and home? If you’ve received one of our desk pads, we hope it serves you well!
The cover has been produced with a GF Smith stock, a renowned paper supplier with a range that compels creativity and innovation with one of the world’s oldest materials. Our Graphic Designer Steve created a simple yet powerful desk pad design cover, a mantra for 2021 conveyed through the tactile print finish of embossing. This involves creating a die, a metal plate of the artwork, which is pressed into the paper stock to raise the image off it. The inner page of the pad is printed on a heavier uncoated FSC stock, as ‘Let’s do this 2021’ hits you in full-on rainbow technicolour!
In the design of the desk pad leaves, pictured above, Daniel has reflected the way that many of us have reconnected with nature in 2020. And whether you like to plan your week with military precision or just doodle, there’s space for you to get ideas and tasks out of your head and onto paper, alongside a 2021 calendar and a reminder of all the ways we can lend a helping hand. Neuroscience tells us that if you want to achieve your goals, you need to write them down. Apparently you’re 42% more likely to achieve them this way and in the process you clear your mind, clarify your priorities and boost your motivation by having the satisfaction of ticking things off.
We’ve put our hearts, skills and eco friendly print know-how into the project. We’d love to apply the potential of paper for the benefit of your brand too.
