We are so grateful that Systematic’s home is within part of Britain’s finest countryside, the Lincolnshire Wolds. In approaching the 50th anniversary of being an AONB, (Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty), Lincolnshire County Council naturally wanted to celebrate the prestige and protection that comes with this accolade. They called upon our creativity and enthusiasm, we are Team Lincolnshire ambassadors after all!
A milestone anniversary is an opportunity to supplement a brand’s creative collateral. As the saying goes, ‘a picture paints a thousand words’. A new, yet harmonious design is a flexible brand asset, lending itself to all forms of marketing communication, as well as promotional products that may be used as souvenirs.
We extended the branding of the Lincolnshire Wolds Countryside Service, reflected as ‘Lincolnshire Wolds’ with a new ‘50 for 50’ logo. The celebration will come alive with 50 events, from walks and talks to art-themed activities and practical projects. They will showcase, engage and educate those who live, work or visit the area, whilst reinforcing what the AONB designation actually means.
The brief for the new logo included requests to include the green backdrop to the main logo, and reflect their light and dark green corporate colours. We added yellow to the design, as a complementary accent colour, which is also reflected in the Lincolnshire flag.
We’ve designed a 16-page leaflet as a cornerstone to this year of celebration. It was printed in the UK on FSC® certified paper. Endorsement by the Forest Stewardship Council® ensures that the raw material of wood fibre is sourced from sustainable forests, where land is responsibly managed, natural habitats of plants and animals are conserved, and the rights of forestry workers and local communities are respected. Paper is one of the few truly sustainable products, as wood is a natural and renewable material.
The leaflet is scaled to an A2 sheet, with a map fold to reduce it to its A5 finished size; perfect for leaflet stands and walkers’ pockets. It avoids finishes that would prevent it from being recycled. These printed resources will hopefully find their way to 10,000 pairs of hands, boosting awareness and engagement in the habitats and heritage of the Lincolnshire Wolds.
To support this literature, we developed banner graphics and even selfie boards, which will continually reinforce the social presence of #AONB #LincsWolds50.
So grab a leaflet, embrace the great outdoors and prepare to admire the beauty of the Lincolnshire Wolds and maybe even the creativity of the branded resources that we’ve turned our hand to.
