15,000 memberships are the lifeblood of Surrey Wildlife Trust. Sustainable membership cards are now giving these members another reason to be proud of their affiliation to this vital charity. We’ve been delighted to help the Trust extend their values to their new, recyclable and compostable, paper-based cards. It’s been a natural transition, literally!
There are lots of reasons to love paper; it originates from the natural and renewable material of wood, and as young trees grow they absorb CO² from the atmosphere. Furthermore, paper continues to store carbon throughout its lifetime.
The cards originate within 110gsm A4 sheets, made from FSC® accredited paper. Forestry Stewardship Council® certification is an international standard which tracks wood and wood fibre through every step of the supply chain. Forests are verified as being responsibly managed, with the conservation of natural habitats of plants and animals, and the rights of forestry workers and local communities respected.
These A4 sheets are called integrated labels. The sheets offer space for a communication, normally in the format of a letter, with the membership card die-cut into the bottom of the sheet. In this case, we’ve pre-printed each sheet with letterhead style artwork. This gives Surrey Wildlife Trust complete flexibility to overprint sheets with the relevant message and variable membership details. The two components of each sheet come together, avoiding any additional sticking or hand fulfilment, to match membership letters to corresponding cards.
